While Big Data has become the latest catch phrase in IT, examples of its transformational impact are few. This presentation will address the steps to successful data driven innovation and provide several real world use cases of its transformational impact.

Brian Freed is the Vice President of Strategy for SGI. In this role, Brian assists in the definition of the strategic plan through a variety of activities including market analysis, product assessment, competitive landscape assessment and partner engagement.

Prior to joining SGI, Brian spent 13 years on Wall Street where he was a Chartered Financial Analyst with an exclusive focus on the Technical Computing, and Information Infrastructure market. This background which combines Financial and Industry analysis offers a unique perspective to Big Data given the centrality of Value to a successful deployment.

While there will be light refreshments available, feel free to "brown bag" it and bring in food from the outside to eat during the social hour.
